Counseling Can Make An Important Difference

Affordable Counseling

CLSACC's services include individual psychotherapy, parent or couple counseling, and group psychotherapy. We assist clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, social isolation, relationship difficulties, family troubles, work problems, trauma associated with violence, or have other concerns.

Our counseling services are professional and confidential.

Fees range from $5 to $55 per visit. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. We help people with low incomes who are uninsured and under-insured. We do not accept health insurance payments for our services.

CLSACC’s Refugee and Asylum Assistance Project (RAAP) provides counseling, therapy, psychological evaluations, expert court testimony and some case management for survivors of torture, the majority of whom are seeking political asylum. The program also provides services to victims of violence some of whom seek legal status in the U.S. under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

Our Philosophy

At CLSACC therapy is available regardless of ability to pay.

Clients participate fully in treatment decisions, including how long the therapy will last.

CLSACC's goal is to help clients relieve their emotional distress, while promoting emotional resilience, self-respect, self-sufficiency, and independence.

Appointments

Call (617) 661-1010 for an appointment; Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and say you are interested in counseling.

Appointments can usually be scheduled within one week of your call. Weekday and evening appointments are available.

Staff

CLSACC's Clinical Director is a licensed psychologist. Our services are also provided by professional volunteers who are clinical social workers, psychologists, and mental health counselors. These dedicated professionals make the center's cost-effective services possible.

Consulting Services

CLSACC provides training and consultation for agencies that work with low-income people. We help agency staff understand and respond effectively to the needs of their clients who have mental health issues.

CLSACC also provides free civil legal services for family law, housing, immigration and disability cases.
