IMMIGRATION

CLSACC handles cases for:

  • People seeking political asylum in the U.S.

  • Battered immigrant spouses or children who want residence in the U.S.

  • Special Immigrant Juveniles.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

If you fled your home country because you feared persecution based on race, religion, gender, nationality, social group or political views, you may be eligible for political asylum in the U.S.

If you are married to or are the child of a legal permanent resident or U.S. Citizen and have been battered or abused, there are immigration laws which can help you escape the violence and get legal status.

See our pamphlet, Immigration Rights for Victims of Domestic Violence and learn how you can get legal status without help from your battering spouse or parent.

These legal services are free and are available to people who live in Massachusetts.

To get legal assistance
call CLSACC at (617) 661-1010
between the hours of 9 - 5,
Monday through Friday

CLSACC also provides affordable counseling to help you deal with abuse, trauma and the adjustment to a new culture.
